We collect information which is designed to allow us to contact you by your preferred method and to answer your query or address any interest you have about our services. This information is stored on our servers and is never passed on, either by sale or gift, to any third parties.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Training Records

For the purpose of keeping complete training records we will store the following data:
• Title and content of training course
• Name of participant and company name
• Email address of participant
• Dates of training
• Dates of recurrent training
• Certification date (and expiry)

Who we share your data with

We may disclose your personal data to other parties for example: regulatory bodies such as the UK DFT and/ or CAA or the appropriate authority for the country of operation; IT support and hosting companies and third party suppliers to help us provide you with goods and services; law enforcement agencies in connection with any investigation to help prevent unlawful activity; your employer.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We will retain all data associated with training for the duration of the qualification plus 6 months and we will retain the delegate’s name, training record and certificate for 6 years.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

We will ensure all of our staff are trained in their requirements under the Data Protection Act/ General Data Protection Regulation.

We will use the personal data provided to us for a specified purpose.

We will create an electronic record of your training programme(s). It may also be used to compile statistics, or to assist awarding organisations to do so, provided that no statistical information would identify you as an individual.

We will only collect the personal data we require to meet our contractual requirements with the regulator, appropriate authority and employers of trainees and to provide the best service and support to trainees.

We will keep personal data for only as long as necessary and keep it safe from unauthorised processing and accidental loss, damage or destruction.

We will ensure the personal data we hold is accurate and current.

We will ensure that personal data held is monitored on a regular basis and make changes in a timely manner.

We will allow stakeholders to access any personal data we hold on them, subject to a written request to the Head of Training. We will respond to requests within seven (7) working days, unless there is a valid reason for a delay. Any delays will be explained in writing by the Head of Training.

We will ensure our stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities under the Data Protection Act/ General Data Protection Regulation during induction and through Trainee Handbooks and the Quality Manual.
